But it should be inserted in the narrative just to use the tethers, if they still want to go with that story element, but provide a shorter trip to get there. I'm not opposed that it will be in the game shortly. We've got the most definite trip on the Ishimura in the Dead Space remake, so I don't feel there should be an other long chapter spent revisiting it. Though at the time it was great as a nostalgic throwback, I feel that it was only really done for that reason. Secondly: The Ishimura revisiting tour shouldn't be so long. You can still have an "escape sequence" in the beginning, as he fully regains consciousness and realizes where he is. Show more how much influence that institution has on that Society, and relocate and flesh out the story of how Isaac was being brought to the sprawl to make markers. I just think it would be great to start the game in the Unitology center and give the player more story there, inspired by the martyr book. To be frank: I'm going to repeat what I've been saying several times before: I feel we can make a remake sequel with the best moments of dead space 2 AND 3 into one game. DS2's story and characterization were good, don't get me wrong, but some details in it will need to be rewritten. Most will agree that DS3 had the worst story and characterization, but if a remake of DS3 is ever made, DS2R will need to update and revise a few things to set DS3R up for a proper retcon. This definitely worked in DS1R, and would need to be done in DS2R. This isn't to say all of DS2's instant-death hazards should be removed the decompressing windows, for instance, are acceptable. DS1R did this right by changing a lot of the instant-death stuff into ones that damage you instead. Reduce the number of instant-death obstacles and such. I'd also look at improving the Seeker Rifle somehow it's not a bad weapon, but in the context of Dead Space, it's highly situational. Compared to DS1R, DS2R should make the Pulse Rifle more viable, as it was a great choice in DS2 original. The only exception to this would be the Pulse Rifle, as it's kinda weak in DS1R due to its lack of stopping power (even when fully upgraded). I'd do this particularly for the Contact Beam and Force Gun. Change some of the weapons so they work like the ones in DS1R.
